It’s a pleasure to welcome an old friend, a brilliant thinker and speaker, John Lass. John will speak on that enormous subject—artificial intelligence—continuing the discussion from last week’s talk by Ted Wallace. Over the last 40 years, John has advised hundreds of executives how to build and organize successful companies; how to solve complex problems and lead effective teams. He holds MBA from Harvard Business School, where he graduated as a Baker Scholar (top 5% of class). Fun fact: one of his senior professors was Professor Alfred D. Chandler, the father of our friend Raja Howard Chancellor. As the founder and President of Lass Advisory Services LLC, John has a rich professional history: he served as SVP of Strategy and Business Development for CUNA Mutual Group for ten years, and earlier was a strategy consultant with Hagberg Consulting Group and Boston Consulting Group. His recent practice has focused on banks and credit unions, as well as technology start-ups in Silicon Valley. In addition to his professional achievements, John is a dedicated educator. He and his wife, Lynn, raised their children in Fairfield, Iowa, where they were actively involved in the local Maharishi School leadership.John is a non-technical expert in Artificial Intelligence with a unique gift: he can explain AI (and other complex subjects) in clear, accessible language, giving organizations useful insights into AI: how to take advantage of it; how to avoid being consumed by it. While last week’s talk with Ted Wallace offered a computer science perspective of AI, John will focus on its implications for teachers and leaders who want to understand and benefit from AI without needing a technical background. As Ted did last week, he will also go into the mysterious relationship between the consciousness of artificial intelligence, human consciousness, and Pure Consciousness or Being. Please join us this Tuesday, 22 July, 2025 at 2pm ET (11am PT).
