Join us for a panel discussion with insights and stories from leaders in the application of Consciousness-Based Education^® (CBE) programs in Maharishi Schools in the United States, Canada, and Australia. The panel will include Richard Beall, PhD, Natalie Miller, BEd, and Frances Clarke, BEc (Hons), DipEd.

Dr. Richard Beall has had a distinguished 40+ year career in education. In 1981, he and his wife, Andrea, helped establish Maharishi School in Fairfield, Iowa, the first complete Preschool–Grade 12 system of Consciousness-Based Education in the world. He has served as administrative director, teacher, coach, principal, and head of school for the past 17 years.

Dr. Beall earned a Master’s in Educational Administration and his Doctorate in Curriculum Development in 1996 at Maharishi International University. His dissertation was selected as the university’s most outstanding of the year. In 2003 Dr. Beall founded Carolina International School, an award-winning public charter school, and guided the school for four years. He returned to Maharishi School in 2008 and, during his tenure as head of school, restored the school’s boarding program and oversaw significant changes to the school culture and functioning. His passion for education encompasses special interests in individual learning differences and the holistic effects of developing consciousness.

Natalie Miller is the Principal of Victoria School for Ideal Education in Victoria, BC, Canada. She is also a board member of the Maharishi Age of Enlightenment Society, which includes the school, the out-of-school care program, and a planned high school. As an impassioned teacher and parent who fell in love with the Science of Creative Intelligence a decade ago, she appreciates all that CBE offers to the community and her family.

Prior to teaching and becoming principal at Victoria School for Ideal Education, Ms. Miller worked in private schools, school districts, and daycare centers, nurturing and learning from students of all ages. She has developed high academic standards grounded in compassion and flexibility, understanding each student’s unique needs and assisting them to flourish and grow. She leans on nature for its fundamental blueprint of knowledge and appreciates that nature and outdoor education are embedded in the curriculum at Victoria School.

Frances Clarke was a pioneering founder and long-serving principal of the Maharishi School in Victoria, Australia, where she established a curriculum focused on Consciousness-Based Education, including the practice of Transcendental Meditation^® (TM^®) and the study of the Science of Creative Intelligence, integrated with the standard curriculum. She has been recognized for fostering a calm, stress-free learning environment. Following her retirement in 2015, the school established the Frances Clarke Scholarship for children whose parents practice TM.

More recently, Frances has worked to provide CBE professional development to teachers and online courses for schools and universities around the world. Frances is also developing and guiding the TM Teacher Training Course for teachers in schools where TM has been introduced. In January 2026, the second course graduated 32 TM teachers for schools in India.
