Please join us in person or via Zoom for an inspiring presentation by Tony Nader, MD, PhD, MARR, and other leaders of the global Transcendental Meditation® organizations to celebrate a significant milestone in our progress towards creating lasting world peace.

The event will take place in Dalby Hall on the campus of Maharishi International University (MIU) in Fairfield, Iowa, and will be broadcast live via Zoom. Presenters will include:

• Dr. Tony Nader, Patron of Global Super-Radiance, head of the global Transcendental Meditation organizations, and president of MIU
• Dr. John Hagelin, quantum physicist, researcher, and international president of the Global Union of Scientists for Peace
• Dr. Luis Alvarez, operational director of Super-Radiance programs
• Dr. Alison Plaut, founder and director of the Himalayan Devis project
• Dr. Howard Settle, administrative director of global Super-Radiance programs

The Maharishi Effect

More than 70 years ago, His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi brought Transcendental Meditation (TM®) to the world. Over the years, he introduced new Vedic Technologies of Consciousness to reverse negative trends and promote societal well-being, with the goal of establishing world peace in this generation.

In the 1960’s, Maharishi predicted that a mere 1% of the population practicing the Transcendental Meditation technique would be enough to eliminate hatred and war. The term “Maharishi Effect” was coined later, when scientific research conducted in 1975–76 indicated that a 1% threshold of a city’s population practicing Transcendental Meditation led to a significant drop in crime rates.

Global Super-Radiance

Maharishi introduced the advanced TM-Sidhi® program in 1976, and subsequent scientific research established that even the square root of 1% of the population practicing the TM and TM-Sidhi programs together in one place would be sufficient to create a powerful effect of coherence and positivity throughout society. This became known as the Super-Radiance effect, reflecting a similar phenomenon in quantum physics. The Super-Radiance effect was most recently demonstrated by the 10,000 Assembly for World Peace in Hyderabad, India, in the winter of 2023–2024.

The Founders of World Peace

The organization Founders of World Peace was formed under the auspices of the Maharishi Vedic Science and Technology Foundation in March 2022. Since then, we have made great progress, with Founders of World Peace members contributing over $6 million to fund the development of six coherence-creating groups—five in India and one in Mexico. Each of these groups has the potential to reach 10,000 by the end of 2025.

The next steps

In our presentation on December 6, we’ll give an overview of the progress towards establishing these permanent Global Super-Radiance groups, the research that supports the scientific reality of how world peace can be achieved, and what the next steps are to achieve this goal.
