How World Meditation Day Will Work
Tony Nader, M.D., Ph.D., M.A.R.R., the globally recognized Vedic scholar and successor to renowned TM Founder Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, has been invited to be the keynote speaker at the U.N.’s official celebratory event in New York City on December 20. This will also inaugurate a continuous program of meditation that will circle the Earth on Saturday, December 21, starting at 8:00 am with New Zealand.
Dr. Nader has explained how this very first global meditation will work:
“I invite meditators in all parts of the world to begin your morning meditation at 8:00 am local time on Saturday, December 21. As the globe turns, hour by hour, time zone by time zone, each of us will start our morning meditation at 8:00 am. And, later the same day, each of us will start our evening meditation at 5:00 pm local time.
“This first global meditation will begin in New Zealand at 8:00 am. An hour later, in the next time zone to the west, others will begin their morning meditation, and so on, around the world. Then, at 5:00 pm, the world’s meditators will follow the same procedure in beginning their afternoon meditation.
“By including both morning and afternoon meditations on December 21 and moving westwards hour by hour with the Sun, World Meditation Day will last for 32 1/2 hours, concluding after 5:00 pm in Hawaii.
“Whatever your meditation practice, I urge you to join.”
Governments, spiritual leaders, practitioners of any meditation practice—all are invited to participate.
And please share the link to WorldMeditationDay.world with your friends and on your social media.
In this simple way, a wave of harmony and positivity will circle our planet as together we celebrate World Meditation Day as a global family. We look forward to having you join us on this wonderful day!
