The Summer Festival for the northern hemisphere, or Winter Festival for the southern hemisphere, continues the beautiful tradition of Seasonal Festivals inaugurated by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi at the First Spring Festival of the Age of Enlightenment in Lucerne, Switzerland, on 20 March 1976, to celebrate the rise of consciousness with each new season, in every community, around the year, around the world.
