Professional violist Nina Falk will discuss her lifelong, successful career and extensive world travels as a musician. She will share her dedication to the organization she founded, A Musical Heart, which brings live music, one-on-one, to the bedsides of patients in hospice. Ms. Falk considers this work the perfect integration of her professional and spiritual life.
ABOUT NINA FALK
Nina Falk studied at The Juilliard School and also holds degrees from the Oberlin Conservatory and the University of Iowa. She studied in London and Rome on a Fulbright Fellowship and has performed with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the San Francisco Opera, the Apollo Ensemble of Boston, and the Smithsonian Chamber Orchestra.
A founding ensemble member of Arco Voce, Ms. Falk has performed, toured, and recorded with the National Symphony Orchestra throughout the United States, Europe, and South America. She is the principal viola of The Bach Choir of Bethlehem, which recently performed at St. Thomas Church (Thomaskirche), Leipzig, Germany—the church of Johann Sebastian Bach. She is also a regular performer with the Folger Consort, an early music ensemble-in-residence at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
