ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Doug Abernathy, retired Battalion Chief of Wellness and Support with the Indianapolis Fire Department, discusses his work bringing Transcendental Meditation (TM) to firefighters through the “Deep Rest for the Best” program he is developing with his TM teacher, Paul Wilson. Drawing on a 37-year career in the fire service, Abernathy reflects on his evolution into a leader in behavioral health and peer support, and how TM—learned in November 2024—has supported his sleep, stress management, and spiritual growth while complementing his Christian faith.
