As a practitioner of the TM technique for over 40 years, he discusses his career in filmmaking and the impact of his daily TM practice on his personal and professional life. ABOUT BILL DUKE
Bill Duke has successfully produced critically acclaimed film and television content for more than 30 years. Since the early 70s, along with industry veterans Michael Shultz and Gordon Parks, he helped pave the way for African Americans in the film industry.
Mr. Duke has been both in front of and behind the camera. His feature film credits include: Sister Act, Bird on a Wire, Deep Cover, Hoodlum, X-Men 3, Commando, and Predator, to name a few. His documentaries Dark Girls and Light Girls, both NAACP Image Award nominees, were two of the most successful documentaries on the Oprah Winfrey Network.
Mr. Duke was appointed by former President Bill Clinton to the National Endowment for the Humanities, and he has been honored by the Directors Guild of America with a Lifetime Achievement Tribute.
