ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Molecular biologist and researcher John Fagan, Ph.D., discusses his work at the National Institutes of Health, his contribution to new educational and research programs at Maharishi International University (MIU), and the impact of genetic engineering on our health. He talks about his current research at the Health Research Institute, where he studies the links between food quality, farming methods, and health. Dr. Fagan also updates us on his research on DNA and the molecular biology of higher states of consciousness.
ABOUT JOHN FAGAN, Ph.D.
Dr. John Fagan is Professor of Molecular Biology at MIU, where he leads a research program that aims to build a molecular understanding of higher states of consciousness from the DNA level up. He is also studying, at the level of the functioning of our DNA, the molecular mechanisms by which the TM technique enables people to recover rapidly from PTSD.
Dr. Fagan is also CEO and Chief Science Officer at Health Research Institute, a 501(c)3 non-profit research and educational institution that employs molecular research tools to understand the links between farming methods, food quality, and human and environmental health, and to integrate traditional and molecular approaches to health. He pioneered work on food transparency and safety, creating early tests for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) and non-GMO certification.
Earlier, Dr. Fagan researched genetic and cellular processes that cause cancer and studied how environmental toxicants, such as dioxins and PCBs, mimic hormones and other signaling molecules, disrupting the information flow from our DNA that normally supports the functioning of every cell, tissue, and organ. He has been published in leading scientific journals and supported by millions of dollars in grants. He earned his doctorate in molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology at Cornell University.
