ABOUT THIS WEBINAR
Artist, and 50-year practitioner of the Transcendental Meditation® technique Judy Bales discusses her evolution as an artist, from childhood to the present, and her vision for future art projects. She talks about the hard work of being an artist and how her TM practice has been a natural source of creativity, inspiring her various art expressions, from bridges to fashion art.
ABOUT JUDY BALES
Judy Bales holds a bachelor of fine arts degree in painting and a master of fine arts in textiles from the University of Georgia. She has worked for 35 years as a fiber and mixed-media artist, fashion designer, and public art design team member. She has received numerous grants and has exhibited her work in over 80 group and solo shows throughout the United States, Canada, and New Zealand.
While closer to a fiber artist in her choice of materials, Ms. Bales approaches her art more like an abstract painter, relying on improvisation and painterly techniques rather than the more precise, controlled approach traditionally favored by fiber artists.
