Enjoy a day of rest, revitalization and beauty at the Himalayan Institute in the Poconos. This one-day TM Retreat includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Saturday. For an additional fee, overnight rooms are available both Friday and Saturday nights at the Himalayan Institute so you can gain maximum benefit from the course.

Retreat Highlights:

The retreat includes the opportunity for extended practice of TM, instruction in simple stretching exercises—Maharishi YogaSM asanas—and the lively discussion of experiences both in and out of the practice of TM. The day includes time for plenty of rest as well as walks around the beautiful campus of the Himalayan Institute. We will connect with Dr. Fred Travis for a presentation on brain research outlining the changes that show up with regular meditation, the development of higher states of consciousness. The course leaders for the day are Nina and Jim Meade of the Wayne County TM Program.

Course Fees:

The Course Fee is $100, including breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

There is a reduced fee for those who learned TM through the Heal the Healers Now program sponsored by the David Lynch Foundation and Chatlos/Roegner Foundation. Please contact Nina for details: nmeade@tm.org.

3. Credit Card or PayPal: If you are paying by credit card, the cost will be 4%
more, and you will need to text Nina at (641) 455-1053.

Arrival and Departure:

The TM Retreat begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 pm. Breakfast is available at 7:30 a.m. We encourage everyone to stay for dinner afterwards at 6 p.m.

For those coming from a distance, we highly recommend that you consider staying over in the area on Saturday night so you can emerge from this day of rest without strain. Contact Nina for a link to overnight accommodations at the Himalayan Institute as well as other local options.

Nestled in the rolling hills of the Poconos, the Himalayan Institute has a beautiful 400-acre campus, delicious vegetarian meals, and comfortable facilities. The retreat sessions are held in an airy and spacious room with soaring windows overlooking the trees. While the TM Retreat is only a one-day retreat, accommodations are available for an additional charge for Friday and/or Saturday nights.

Directions
The Himalayan Institute is 6 miles from Honesdale, Pennsylvania on Route 670 in northeast Pennsylvania. It is about 1 hour from Scranton, 2 ½ hours from New York City, and 2 ½ hours from Philadelphia.
