Retreat Highlights:
Reading the Vedic literature in sequence is the procedure to spontaneously train the brain physiology and the whole physiology of speech to function in the most orderly way, so that every thought, speech, and action is spontaneously promoted in the evolutionary direction of Natural Law, and thereby spontaneously enjoys full support of the evolutionary quality of intelligence that upholds order and evolution in the entire universe.” —Maharishi
Our Guest Speaker on Saturday afternoon will be Dr. Keith Wegman, director of the Online MA in Consciousness and Human Potential, Assistant Professor of Maharishi Vedic Science.
Dr. Keith Wegman
Dr. Wegman received his PhD in Maharishi Vedic Science from Maharishi International University in 2004, his MA in Science of Creative Intelligence from Maharishi International University in 1993, and BA in Philosophy/Art from St. Olaf College in 1991. Chapin Mill Retreat Center was built by the Rochester Zen Center in 2000 on 135 acres of beautiful woodland with a lake, large open meadows and walking trails. In the spectacular natural country setting one immediately notices the profound silence which is so conducive to deep rest.
Legend has it that this land was used by Native American Indian tribes for tribal councils and was regarded as a place of peace and harmony. This lovingly maintained facility is a favorite program center for many spiritual and religious groups.
Read what meditators say about the retreat center: "The environment and facilities are the best."
"I would come back to this location for any course! It was so peaceful and beautiful."
"Residence Courses are definitely the way to obtain deep rest. This facility is perfect for that, very quiet and comfortable."
